Utah Fun....(And picture overload!)

Here are pictures from our trip to Utah back in August. We had a fun time with family and friends, but I wish I would have taken more pictures! It always seems when we're actually doing something with our family and friends that I should be taking pictures of I forget, but I always seem to get pictures of more random things like...Hudson with our ex-dog Winston.....oh well next time I will remember!
Hudson loves dogs, he loves to watch them walk around and he loves to pet them. Here is Hudson with Winston. He used to be our dog, but when we opened our store we just didn't have the time for him anymore. So Andy's sister Naelyn offered to take him for her family. She has 4 kids, and he is so happy to have playmates all the time! He is such a good dog, and we are so glad we get to see him when we visit!
What is he doing?!! Trying to eat him?!

9 Months!

Here are the stats for our big boy!
29 1/2 inches long = 90%
19 lbs 7 oz = 50%
46 cm head circumference = 75-50%
Can't believe it has already been 9 months! Time just flies...before ya know it we'll be celebrating his first birthday!
He hasn't really been interested in crawling until now. Whenever we walk out of the room he gets upset, and wants to come with us, so he is finally trying to crawl. He is scooting really good, and starting to push that bum up in the air to get on his knees....so in a few weeks I would imagine we'll have a crawler on our hands!
I haven't really minded that it's taken him a bit longer than most to crawl...I don't have to chase him anywhere! Now we'll just have to see how long it takes him to go from crawling to walking.

Washington...and Uncle Matty home on R&R

Here are some pix from Washington. We had a good time with friends and family. These are pictures of when Matthew was home on R&R, and some family shots we took as well.
Enjoy!

Oh, and after seeing these pictures....Andy and I both decided it was time to hit the gym...hard! It is just getting out of control....so hopefully next time we take pictures we both won't look so plump! I figured if I admitted we were working out/dieting on the blog, it would motivate us to keep it up, because now you all will know we aren't workign out if you see us and were still just as fat!

Two things I am totally loving right now....

1. Sonics diet cherry limeade.....seriously nothing better on a hot day, they are so good!

2. The Office! Andy and I never got into that show, not because we didn't think it was funny, but because if we watch every show we wanted to we would be on the couch 24 hrs a day! However, over the summer we finally started renting and watching all the seasons so we could start watching in the fall when season 5 starts. When I first started watching I always thought it was funny but Michael...Steve Carell's character was so absurd it annoyed me at times, but the more I watched the more addicted I got. It has some of the best characters on TV....Dwight kills me, whoever writes his character is a genius! I also love the pranks Pam and Jim play on Dwight...... and Kevin,...well he is just weird! Anyhow, great show....we can't wait to see what happens in season 5!

Dear driver of the kind of nice car parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot...

So a couple of weeks ago...while in Utah, Andy and I made a stop at the local Wal-Mart for some items. We had finished our purchases, and were in our car waiting to back up and drive off. While we were waiting, a lady was putting her shopping cart "away".....not where shopping carts should go in the cart return, but basically in the middle of the parking lot. So she walks away, and I'm sitting in the car watching this cart slowing start rolling away....I watch for a second and then realize that this cart is a run away, and it's not going to stop. I look beyond the cart and see a "Nicer" car right in the carts path....so being the extremely good Samaritan that I am, I hop out of our car and start running after the cart to save the strangers car. While in mid stride, literally leaping to grab the cart with in inches of hitting the parked car, I ram my toe right into the wheel of the shopping cart. OUCH!!!
My toe is hurting pretty bad, but I grab the cart and put it where it belongs, and then hobble back to my car so I can check out my toe.....ya, totally broken. It was already bruising, and swelling and hurt like crazy (I know it's just a toe, but it hurt!). So anyway, the point of this rant is two fold.....1. Please put shopping carts where they belong! and 2. To the driver of the car in the parking lot, I hope you appreciate that for the past 3 weeks, I have been walking with a limp, in pain, and I swear I re-break that dang toe every other day stubbing it on things, and then it re-bruises and I start the healing process all over again! It sucks, and I just want my stinking toe back to normal!
I think that might be the last time I go running after a shopping cart!
:o)

Hudson, and then some more Hudson!

Here are some recent pictures of Hudson. He is talking constantly now, and is starting to give those really big belly laughs which I just LOVE! He is not crawling yet, but he keeps pushing himself up, then pushing himself backwards.....I keep telling him he's supposed to be going forward! We also gave him his first haircut!! Uncle Mike told him he had a mullet, which he totally did (But not a bad one), so we figured it was time to cut it. We got out the clippers and trimmed the back and the sides, but I couldn't cut anything off the top, I love his long spikey hair too much. His hair can now be shaped into the coolest mohawk! His haircut makes him look completely different, he looks so much more like a boy and not my little baby.....sniffle, sniffle.
