Just for laughs and giggles, I thought I would post this awesome pictuere of my brother Matthew, if for no other reason than I know he will hate it! I was just messing around and got some pretty good ones, but this one by far is my favorite! Love ya Matty!

Baby Shower

We took a trip to Washington last week for a few days and my mom and my mom's friend Ginger gave me a baby shower! It was so lovely at Ginger's house. She lives right on the water, and it was a beautiful day, so we had it ouside on her patio. Here are a few pictures from the occasion.

This one is a little hard to see, but this was the table of trouble makers, I won't call out any names, you know who you are!

Here is my one of my best friends Tara (Who's head is cut off) and her so cute daughter Lucy!

Here is another one of my best friends Heidi with Lucy! Aren't they cute!

Here is my mom on the left, with Julie and Janet

So this picture definitely needs an explanation.....So my Uncle Mark (AKA My MOTHER, she tried to pawn it off on my Uncle Mark, but we all know who the culprit is) decided to give a gag gift at the shower. I say gag gift because although it was very funny, I don't believe I will be allowing my child or husband to wear these in public anytime soon. What you are looking at is a pair of baby cowboy boots, along with two Davey Crockett hats, one for dad and baby! You can tell I am thrilled, and cannot wait to take a family picture with my two guys wearing their furry hats! Thanks for the laughs mom!

Anyhow, it was a lovely shower. Thanks to everyone who helped put it on, and to everyone who came, I had a great time!

Pregnancy, Week 18 and 19

Time has just been flying by! I can't believe I am half way through the pregnancy! HE'LL be here before you know it! Ahhh, it's so nice to be able to say him! We had our ultrasound in week 18 and found out we are having a boy so we are very excited! It was so crazy to be able to see him in the ultrasound and be able to see legs and arms, and a profile. The ultrasound tech was pretty funny, she pointed to his "Area" and said "See it's a boy!" Well I couldn't really see "it", so she took a picture of "it" and drew some arrows to it and put "Boy" next to it and printed it out for us. I still don't really see it but if she says so I guess we'll believe her.

We are pretty sure we have a name picked out, we are just having troubles with the middle name. We can't seem to agree on anything for the middle name, so when we come to a conclusion, we will be sure to let everyone know.

These past few weeks I have been feeling great, and feel him moving and kicking me all the time! Here is a bit from i-am-pregnant.com about what has been going on the past few weeks.

Thumb sucking at 18 weeks

19 Weeks
By week 18 of your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is 5 to 5.5 inches long. Your baby continues to develop fat layers and weighs about 5.25 ounces. Your baby will continue to grow and develop, but the rapid growth will slow down for a little while. You will be able to feel your uterus just below your bellybutton. If you put your fingers sideways to measure, you can feel your uterus about two finger-widths below your bellybutton. At this point of your pregnancy, your uterus is approximately the size of a cantaloupe. Although weight gain varies from woman to woman, your total weight gain at this point should be 10 to 13 pounds.

Around this time, your baby becomes more sensitive to the outside world and shows her presence through powerful kicks and prods. The bones through which sound is passed to the inner ear have hardened and the part of the brain that receives and processes nerve signals from the ears are developing. This means that your baby can hear now. Your baby will get used to familiar sounds, such as your heart beating, familiar voices, blood rushing through the umbilical cord and other daily routine sounds. Your baby will become startled if he hears a loud sound.

One of the most amazing aspects of your baby's growth and development is that of the fetal brain. Your baby's brain is one of the first organs to appear. Your baby's oversized head shows the brain's importance in his development. Because the nerves that connect the muscles to the brain have grown into place, your baby's movements are consciously directed. Your baby's ears stand out from the sides of the head and the buds for your baby's permanent teeth appear. Your baby's arms and legs have reached their relative proportions and his feet are approximately one inch long.
So many things are changing and going on right now with the pregnancy. My belly is starting to get so much bigger, I can't really hide the belly bump anymore! Well......here's to a good week 20!

Washington

Here are some pictures from our trip to Washington. We went up first because it had just been way too long since I had been home. Second, because my brother will be leaving for Iraq in October. He was going to be home that week, and we aren't sure if we will have a chance to see him again, and lastly because I had a baby shower.

Here is a picture with Tara's baby Lucy...CUTIE!

Here is one of Tara, Lucy and I

This was on the plane ride home, I forget which mountains they are, but there were two of them, so I decided to try and snap some photos

This was the second one I saw from the plane

Another cutie picture of Lucy, who looks just like her dad by the way

We went to Whaling Days (It's a little festival that occurs the last weekend in July every year) on Tara and Ryan's boat and had a blast! There were four of us couples, Andy and I, Tara and Ryan, Erin and Bryant, and Sandy and Joe. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of us, but I do have these of Mt. Rainier. They look way cooler when they are large, but they are still pretty. (This was on the way to Whaling Days.)

This one was taken on the way home, you can kind of see the moon up above the mountain

And just one more.....It's been so long since I had been boating, so it was nice. It was fun to have Andy along too, the Puget Sound is so beautiful, and he's never really had a chance to see it like that.

Here is one of my bro Matthew, myself and Andy
