Seeing the world from a different angle

Once again, this is about 2 months late, but I just finally downloaded all the pictures from my camera.
So Hudson is finally forward facing in his car seat, and I think he likes it. I think he likes the view as well as being able to see Mom and Dad. We just got him new car seat for our other car....its a Britax Boulevard, and let me tell you that thing is sweet and worth the money! His head does not seem to slump forward in the Britax like it does in this Triumph. I don't know how he can sleep like this, but he usually passes out in his car seat and looks just like this! Cutie!!

New Years 2009

Yes, it's two months later, but as the saying goes, better late than never! Andy and I celebrated New Years with some of my good friends from high school and their husbands. We had a great time.....we did a pot luck style dinner, and rocked in the new year singing karaoke. We did take pictures of the guys, but they weren't taken with my camera, oh well, they were there and had a good time too.

Oopsy Daisy

You might remember about a month ago I posted some pictures of Hudson trying to get into the bathtub with his clothes on....Well he was finally victorious! What a goof!

He started fussing after he got in, I don't think he liked the feeling of soaking wet pajamas

Naughty boy!

OK, so I know you're thinking "Why are you posting a picture of your kid on a dirty bathroom floor"... right? Well, because I thought it was really funny! I'm in the bathroom with him at a local restaurant and had just finished changing him. He can stand pretty good on his own , and I thought "I can put him down for two seconds while I wash my hands right?" WRONG!! This kid CRAWLED (Eeew) on all fours over to the toilet paper dispenser and did THIS before I could even blink. I thought it was hilarious so I had to take a picture, and of course we both scrubbed our hands extra good after that little incident. I guess I won't be letting him down in a public restroom anytime soon.

Happy 1st Birthday Hudson!!

While in Washington for the holidays we celebrated Hudson's first birthday! He turned 1 on the 19th, but we celebrated on the 20th. It was snowing pretty bad so only a few were able to make it, but we still had a great time! He really enjoyed his cupcake, and has been having so much fun with his new toys! Thanks to everyone who was able to come, and to those who sent gifts, we really appreciate your kindness!

This is what was happening during his birthday party. Poor kid, maybe we'll have to start celebrating his "Half" birthday in June just so people can make it!

Present time!

He is really digging on the dinosaur

This is what happened in the middle of opening gifts.....he escaped! He was much more interested in the balloons floating around the room.

Cute clothes

So these pictures aren't in order. This was after the cupcake....this was the cleanup!

Look mom....I finished all my dessert

We had funfetti cupcakes for all the kids to decorate, and Costco cake for all the adults

This is sure tasty....I like sugar!

Big bites...

are you sure this whole thing is for me?

He was very timid at first, and just licked the frosting

Happy Birthday to me?!!

Here's Lulu (Lucy) licking the frosting off her cupcake

Here's Lulu's mommy (Tara) treating herself to the delectable goodness that is a funfetti cupcake!
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY HUDSON! We love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as part of our family. You are the sweetest, and funniest little guy anyone could ever hope for. You have given both our lives so much more depth and meaning. You are growing up before our eyes, and we wish at times that time would stand still, and you could be our little baby boy for just a bit longer. It has been amazing to watch you grow from this tiny little infant, to this little boy, who has a personality, a sense of humor, who can talk and get around the house as fast a lightning and get into EVERYTHING! This has been both the most joyous and trying year of both our lives, but we wouldn't change any of it for a minute. You are a blessing to us, and we so look forward to all the many birthdays' we'll celebrate with you.
Love, Mama and Dada
