My Boys

Peek a boo!

Hudson playing Band Hero.  He loves to sing, or at least shove the mic in his mouth.

Snuggles

And we're about to fall over

My mom got this pillow for Hudson a while back, and he is extremely possessive of it.  No one else can lay on it, if you do, he will say "My pillow", and try to shove you off of it, so this was worth a picture because he was actually sharing his pillow without crying about it.  He's such a good big brother.

This is what our mornings usually look like, he is most likely watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  I swore I would never let me kids watch television everyday, but we usually allow an hour or so in the morning.  I find myself singing the theme songs throughout the day too....man, I have become a mom or what?!

Ryker's Newborn Pictures

I had Ryker's newborn pictures taken in January right before we left for Washington.  He was 3 weeks old when we had them taken, and was actually a little bit older than I would have liked.  Ideally he would have been 1 or 2 weeks old at the most, but with Christmas, the photographer and I were not able to meet up until he was 3 weeks old.  There were a few poses I would have liked to have done, but was not able because he was too awake.  But overall I think they turned out pretty cute.  It was sure a lot of work just for these couple if pictures, but I really think they turned out cute.  I especially like the ones of him in the brown knit hat, my mom sent that to me, and I just think it's adorable.  I can't believe he was so tiny then!  He is almost 4 months old now, and I am so happy we captured this on film.  This is one thing I never did with Hudson that I really regret, so I wanted to be sure to have them done with Ryker.

Washington

The whole time we were in Washington in January I only took 3 pictures, man I must have been really sick to have only taken 3!  Good thing they are cute pictures of Hudson, and my besties girls, Lucy and Chloe.
They were having some chicken nuggets for lunch, and Hudson decided he needed some too!

We are alive!

In mid-January, we took a trip up to Washington to go see  my family.  I wasn't feeling too well when we left, but had gotten some medication from the Dr. , and thought everything would be fine.  Well after only being there for 3 days out of our 10 day trip, I got really sick.  It was the strangest thing, but I was extremely dizzy, so dizzy I had to hold on to things to walk.  Needless to say, I spent a lot of time in bed.  I went to a few docs there and no one could figure out what was wrong.  They gave me all types of pills, and tried all kinds of head maneuvers, but nothing worked.  I kept thinking it would go away eventually, but day in and day out 24 hours a day, I was miserably dizzy.  I couldn't do much with the kids, so Andy really was taking care of them all day and night by himself, with a little help from my parents.  Finally I just told myself that I might just feel this way forever, so I better suck it up and just figure out how to live with it.  So finally I felt brave enough to get onto a plane with two kids.

Once we got back to Utah, I again went to a few docs, an ENT, had an MRI, a MRA, then to a Neurologist.  Finally a about a month after we got home things started to get better, little by little I could feel the dizziness and fog lifting.  The Neurologist thought it might be migraine related, so she gave me some pills for headaches, so with taking those and some other "Homeopathic" pills that were suggested to me, the dizziness finally went AWAY!!

You never realize how lucky you are to be in good health until that is taken from you.  When Ryker was first here, I was so dreading getting up 10 times a night again, I am an 8 hour or sleep a night kind of girl, and can get a little grumpy with lack of sleep.  But once I was unable to get up with him because I was sick, it was the worst feeling not being able to take care of my kids and feel like I wasn't being a mom to them.

I was so excited to get rid of the baby weight and start working out as soon as I could, and I couldn't do that either....needless to say, I am so happy to have my health back, and am trying to remember not to take that for granted.  I can play with my kids, go out on jogs with them, and I am so grateful for that!

I will give an update on the kiddos and what they have been up to in the next few posts, but here are a few pictures mostly of Ryker from the past few months.
Ryker 3 weeks old

Taking a nap while daddy reads...if any of you know Andy, he is never caught without a good book to read, so this was a common napping place.

Getting ready for bed one night...about 6 weeks old

Hudson HAD to lay on Ryker's play mat.  He thought it was so funny, and started laughing.  I don't think Ryker could figure out what was going on.

Asleep in the swing

Having some tummy time on the couch and not looking too happy about it

Look at all of that blond hair!

I was in the middle of burping him, and he fell asleep!

Totally passed out

Cute lucky dog!  About 2 months old

Chillin out max and relaxin all cool!

Figuring out he can kick and splash water EVERYWHERE!  Good thing it's cute and funny!

Christmas 2009

So what if this is being posted 4 months after Christmas....at least I did it!  This has been a crazy ride the past few months, and life is FINALLY starting to feel normal again, so I figured it was time to put these pictures up and get current!

Here we are reading "The Polar Express" on Christmas Eve night (We had just come home from the hospital only hours before)

Cutie boy in his Christmas pajamas

Trying to tell him about Santa and how he should be so excited for tomorrow morning

Hudson found his wagon full of presents, and started to push it from the tree into the living room

Opening a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Foxworthy...a dual DVD player for the car (Really this was a present for us!)

Now opening every ones gifts, but his own

Ryker, only 2 days old just slept through the whole thing

Opening some cars from Grandma and Grandpa Shuldberg

Having some fun in his new wagon

Our Christmas season was a little crazy and sleepy this year, but Hudson turned two, and we got a cute new little guy to join our family, so all in all we felt blessed, and very grateful for all that we have.
