I have a 2 year old??!

These are a little out of order but that's OK. On December 19th Hudson turned two! We had a little party for him with family and friends. It turned out really well, and I think Hudson had a lot of fun. I can't believe how fast time flies, and that we have a toddler!

We took him to the doctor the other day for his two year check up, and he is in the 94th percentile for height, and 35th percentile for weight. So we have a tall scrawny kid on our hands. He has fallen in loves with books, and puzzles, and talks non stop. It's been so nice to have him talking well so soon, it makes our life easier when he can communicate what he wants. He can count to 10, say almost all of the alphabet, and knows most of his shapes. He favorites to point out are "Star," "Circle," and "Heart," it's kind of funny when were walking in a store and he's all "Heart!"

He has completely turned into a 2 year old, and has to do everything for himself. He also has learned to protest very loudly when he doesn't want to do something....like take a nap. He has thrown a fit or two, which is new territory for us, as he has always been so mellow. We hope it does not last long!

We just love our little guy, and can't wait to see how he changes in the next year.
This kid would not touch his birthday cake when everyone was here, but after everyone left, he decided it was time to dive in and make a mess

Mmmm....funfetti cake and frosting

He stuck the part hat on all buy himself

And of course he had to find a horn to blow to celebrate

We let all of the kids decorate cupcakes, and this was Hudson's creation

Here is the actual moment when he should have been shoving cake into his face, and he was just licking the candles
