AWESOME!!

So I get home yesterday and Andy's all "Hudson, can you tell mom your new word?" and Andy tries to prompt him saying "Awe..." and Hudson says "Awshsome!" which means AWESOME..with a little lisp..It was so cute! So the rest of the night was spent saying "Awshsome."
Hudson is quite the chatter box, and basically repeats anything you say now. He does however have a few favorites among his vocabulary (Even if only mom and dad can understand some of them) which are:
Shoes
Cheese
Milk
Juice
Doggies
Bye Bye
Welcome
Sponge Bob (seriously??!)
Jinx (One of the dogs names)
Shadow (My parent's dog)
Cow
Pig

Ear
Eye
Teeth
Hi

Grandpa (crapaa)

Binky

Poop
Pee Pee
Icky
Thank You

His new game is to give us kisses. If we are sitting by him on the couch he will lean in and give me a kiss, then lean over and give Andy a kiss...it is so cute!! He goes on and on until he is laughing so hard he falls over. Of course he has to make the kissing sound too...Muwah!

Usually when he wakes up in the morning he takes his one "Special" blanket out of the crib with him to carry along, but lately he has to take ALL of the blankets out of the crib. So when you go to get him in the AM, it's so funny to see him trying to carry 3 and 4 blankets before he will let you get him out of the crib.

Hudson has also become very good at ignoring us. He totally knows when he is doing something naughty...he always gets this devilish look on his face....and if we catch him red handed in the act he turns, bolts and tries to run away...I try so hard not to laugh, and be serious, but gosh this kid has major personality and is just hilarious!

He likes to flush the toilet, and brush his own teeth with his battery operated tooth brush. He also uses a fork really well, and has discovered the joy of coloring...one day he decided to pull the paper off his highchair and just color his tray instead because that is much more fun! He also found a stray pencil laying around one day and decided to decorate the hallway and bathroom door...it was so beautiful...perhaps we have a graphic designer on our hands?!

Hudson also likes to "Walk" the dogs. He always takes their leash and tries to put it on them, of course he can't do it so we help him. Then he takes the leash and "Walks" the dogs all over the house with him. It's pretty funny sometimes....he gets mad when they don't want to go where he does so he'll start pulling them around the house....that's when we take the leash off....poor dogs!

He has also learned how to jump, and "Dance" and does it all the time...it is the most precious thing ever! He especially likes to jump in his crib, and sometimes when we put him to bed at night we can hear him in there jumping. He is such a good boy, so curious, and independent. This has been such a fun age because everyday he does or says something new, and always keeps us on our toes....We love you Huddy Bear!

First Ice Cream Cone

We took Hudson to the mall a few weeks ago to play at the mall playground..(That's how we do things in AZ...it's too hot to play outside!) Anyhow, after playing we went up to the food court and there, Hudson has his very first ice cream cone. This particular mall has a carousel in it...so he sat there watching the carousel go round and round as he ate his ice cream cone...I think he liked it!

Watching the carousel go round

Mmm....what is that, it's good!

Hudson 18 Months

So Andy was up in Utah this past week with Hudson visiting his family and we decided to have his 18 month pictures taken. Some friends of ours have had some really great pictures taken so they referred us to their photographer. I think she did a fabulous job....especially with this kid who will NOT SIT STILL FOR ANYTHING!! If you live in Utah Valley you should definitely look her up...here is her website brookemoonphotography.blogspot.com . Here are just a few of the pix that I love....Thanks Brooke!!

Andy said he had a Smartie in his mouth in this pix....good thinking...bribe the kid to look cute!

Love this one!!

So serious...I guess he took a fall....hence the dirt on his face!

Memorial Day in Pine Arizona

I have some major catching up to do...so this is all the way back from May...and hopefully I will soon be caught up to present day.
Our friends Tyson and Bethany invited to go up to Bethany's Grandparent's cabin in Pine, Arizona for Memorial Day. We gladly accepted since it was a GREAT excuse to escape the heat. We had a great time eating good food, playing tons of games, and watching Hudson run around the yard like a mad man! This literally was the first time since he has been walking that he could run around OUTSIDE in GRASS, and not DIE from heatstroke! I think you can tell from the pictures that this kid had a blast! He would fall, face plant, trip, etc...and get right back up dirty face and all, and keep running around....it was hilarious!

Mom...you are the funniest person ever!

"If your happy and you know it clap your hands!"

Why does it look like he's about to pee on this tree?!!

MMMmmmm...dirt does the body good!

Cutie Boy!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!

Get Your Vote On!!

OK people, the time has come to cast your votes on what you think baby Shuldberg #2 will be! Please use the voting buttons on the right hand side of the blog. As far as what we think it is...pretty much the same as last time...Andy of course thinks it will be a boy, but I think I have him a little bit more convinced this time that it might actually be a girl. I am totally sold on the thought of it being a girl. I am MUCH more sick this time...so my thought is...it has to be a girl right? Anyhow, I think we both have decided we will be be happy either way...having one of each will be nice, or for Hudson to have a brother will be great too. I have an ultrasound scheduled at 18 weeks to find out the sex....to stay tuned!
