New Tricks

So Hudson has finally figured out how to roll over from his stomach to his back....I caught a few pictures, so I thought I would post them, and a few just of him and his cuteness! Enjoy!

So I kind of posted this backwards...oh well, this was after the roll over

Here we are trying so hard!

Hi cute boy!

Seriously, whats up with all the pictures?

Baby Blue Eyes!

You might notice that in most of the pictures our little Huddy Bears head is tilted a little to the left.....well his right.........When he was still in my belly, he was head down for a few months before I had him, and they figure he was lodged in there so good that his neck was kinked to one side, which in turn made the muscles on that side of his neck really tight. So his tight muscles pull that side of his neck down. They call it "Torticollis." He is doing much better, even though it looks awful in these pictures. We have him in physical therapy for it, and it almost seems to be going away....yay!

Mullets Galore

Andy was up here last weekend to visit so I thought I would post a few pictures from his stay. As you might notice he is looking a little more, shall we say burley than normal. When we left a few weeks ago he had his normal goatee, and then when I picked him up from the airport he had this massive grizzly beard. I am not too sure about it. It still looks a little patchy in person, and he has it way too long. So I told him he could keep it, but he would need to trim it shorter, and let it grow in a bit better then we'll talk. If it doesn't look good, it's getting shaved off! He said that was fine (At least he knows who wears the pants in this family!)
As to the title of this post, (I am sure you are all curious about it) just follow the pictures below and you will soon understand.
Enjoy!
You know, you try and look as good as you can after having a baby, and isn't it nice of the camera to add 10+ pounds to you!

Hudson is mesmerized by all that facial hair!

Um.....seriously, does it get any cuter than this?

Hudson is totally bored with this whole photo shoot thing as you can tell from the yawns

Now this picture shows the beautiful MULLET that my son has! No joke, when he was born for some reason the hair right at the bottom of his head is SO much longer than the rest of his hair! The best part about it is that he is starting to lose his hair on the back of his head, but the mullet is still there! If anyone is interested, a friend a long time ago introduced me to a website dedicated solely to mullets entitled mulletsgalore.com , some of them are outrageous!

I think perhaps we need to give his little mullet a trim? We don't want him scaring off all his lady friends now do we?

BIG BOY! Holding his head up so well! And you can't tell he has a mullet from the front

I have officially decided that my son is going to be a genius! So far he has been reaching all his milestones early! He can pull himself up pretty good, and yesterday he already rolled over half way 3 different times! He is only 8 weeks! But, I am sure I'm biased

Hudson Carter: World Traveler....Next Stop, Washington!

In Hudson's 6 short weeks of life we have traveled from Arizona to Utah to see Andy's family for New Years. We also made a stop in Vegas on that way back to Arizona (Just to stay the night, I'm not sure Hudson is much of a gambling man just yet), and now Hudson and I have flown up to Washington to stay for a few weeks to visit my family.

It has been so much fun having him around, but exhausting as well! He just this past week started to sleep better through the night. He now regularly goes 4 hrs before waking up, but I have also gotten some nights where he has gone 6 hrs, and one beautiful night he went 8 hrs!!So he is working on it, I am hoping that by 8 weeks we will consistently have 8 hrs.....wouldn't that be a dream! Not having Andy around to help during the nights has been rough, but my parents have been a help too, so that is nice.

He is smiling now, and cooing all the time. He is such a content well behaved baby! I am so lucky! I feel a little bit like I am getting a better hang on this whole motherhood role. I always thought it sounded strange when people would say that you would learn their different cries and what they needed, because cries just sounded all the same to me, but I have learned differently. I know now when he is tired, hungry, gassy, or just bored and needs some attention. When I understood those I didn't feel so helpless anymore. There was nothing more frustrating and discouraging than having your baby cry and you can't figure out what is going on.

Anyhow, things are going well. Hudson is happy and healthy, and I feel really good too. I will be trying to get on here and post more often, but here are a few pictures I have taken since our stay here in Washington.

Cute Naked Boy!

He is getting so big!

Grandpa Foxworthy and Hudson napping together

Mmm...This towel tastes good! Seriously he tries to suck on everything that touches his mouth!

Hanging out with Grandma Foxworthy

Passed out! I discovered he loves to sleep in between the back and the arm of this recliner. If you put him there he is out like a light!

So I know this picture is fuzzy, but I just think it's hilarious! He fell asleep with the bottle in his mouth......I always say he looks like he is drunk off milk, or in a milk induced coma!

My handsome preppy boy!
